Derik Hobbs
Derik Hobbs is an Illustrator and Designer from middle Tennessee. Graduating with a BFA in Illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design, he developed an illustrative voice that translates ideas in both inviting and treacherous ways. Collecting inspiration from scientific illustration, fantasy art, wildlife, and conceptual design. His work speaks through mark-making but is heard through his use of metaphor and allegory. Hobbs started his career in Nashville Tennessee after college and became a visual voice to be heard in the southeast. He has gained accolades from theSociety of Illustrators, Applied Arts, iJungle, SCAD, Creative Quarterly, and has been featured in exhibitions across the U.S. from NYC to Savannah, Georgia.
